Brilliance by Design offers inspiration and empowerment through the use of a range of modalities and tools to help you to achieve the optimal results. Together, we can tailor an approach that suits you and what you want to achieve. Your sessions will range from 30 to 90 minutes, and they can include coaching, hypnotherapy, reiki, yoga or meditation or a combination of the five.

I hold a caring and nurturing space where clients can feel safe to work on themselves. Our first session together — in person, on the phone or via Skype — will involve time to take your medical history and work through the outcome you wish to achieve. We will then perform a general relaxation, meditation or hypnosis, and begin development of a plan. You will leave the session feeing calm, uplifted and positive about what you wish to address.

NLP LIFE COACHING

Life coaching is a structured process of assisting and empowering you, to identify and achieve a set of desired personal goals and objectives. As your life coach, I employ a variety of tools and techniques to help you identify the skills and capabilities that are within you, and I enable you to use them to the best of your ability. You’ll shift perspectives and discover different solutions to achieve goals, which can have positive effects in many areas of life: personal, professional, social, family, spiritual, sports, etc.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) emerged from the study of the natural thought processes of exceptional achievers. With its revolutionary approach to human communication and human potential development techniques, NLP has helped millions of people all over the world overcome fears, increase confidence, enrich relationships, improve learning and achieve greater success. As a professionally trained NLP coach, I have developed a greater understanding of the use of language and human processes than a coach who is not trained in NLP.

As your coach, I support you to choose new perspectives and establish new beliefs about what is possible for the future. Lasting change only comes about with a change in limiting beliefs. I will call on you to identify and build on your strengths, acknowledge weaknesses and focus on what is working in your life. If you’re uncertain about what you want, we will explore that together. If you are clear on what you want, then I’ll encourage you to make new choices and create new habits that lead to exciting new results. With NLP, we can create change in an easy and effortless way, remove blocks and identify tools you can use to create the future you desire.

I qualified as an NLP Life Coach and DreamSculpting Coach through Bennett Stellar University in the USA.

CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is therapy undertaken while the client is in a state of hypnosis. Hypnosis is best described as a very deep state of relaxation. Hypnosis is a normal, natural, healthy state of mind.

A Clinical Hypnotherapist is a specialist in hypnosis, using the healing state of hypnosis to work with mental — and even physical — problems or conditions that you wish to change. Hypnosis enables you to achieve a state of mental, physical and emotional relaxation. In this state, you can work on healing, releasing dependencies and anxieties and/or enhancing mental performance.

One misconception about hypnotherapy is that things will happen in the session beyond the client’s control and against their will. This is untrue and unethical. At no point in the session will anything happen that is against your will, nor is anyone able to make you do anything you don’t want to do. Even in the deepest state of relaxation, you will always be in control.

I qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist through Bennett Stellar University in the USA. I am currently doing further Hypnotherapy studies through the Academy of Hypnotic Science in Melbourne.

There is no limit to what you can imagine. And with commitment, with effort, what you can imagine you can become. Put your mind to work for you. Believe that you can do it. ~ Ralph Marston

REIKI THERAPY

Reiki is a gentle Asian hands-on spiritual and energetic healing technique. It is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on, no-touch and visualisation techniques, with the goal of improving the flow of life energy in a person.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means "universal life energy" in Japanese. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional and spiritual level. Reiki touch therapy is used in much the same way to achieve similar effects that traditional massage therapy is used—to relieve stress and pain, stimulate the immune system, increase energy, and relieve the pain and symptoms of various conditions. It has been found to be very calming and reassuring.

Following a reiki session, you may experience a sense of deep relaxation, a release of trapped emotions and further personal insights.

I qualified as a Master Reiki Practitioner through Bennett Stellar University in the USA.

YOGA THERAPY

Having originated in ancient India, yoga typically means 'union' between the mind, body and spirit. The ultimate aim of practicing yoga is to create a balance between the body and the mind and to attain self-enlightenment. In order to accomplish this, yoga makes use of different physical postures and poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayams), relaxation techniques and meditation. Yoga is associated with a balanced approach to life and is the perfect way to ensure overall health and vitality.

Regular practice of yoga is amazing. Its positive effects on the health and mind are visible over time. All you need to know is the most appropriate asanas meant for the structure of your body. In addition, you need to know the right way of performing the asanas, because any wrong attempt can cause injuries.

In the session I may use yoga in a therapeutic manner to aid your progress.

I qualified as a Hatha Yoga Instructor from GITA International Yoga in Melbourne.

MEDITATION INSTRUCTION

The English meditation is derived from the Latin verb meditari, meaning "to think, contemplate, devise, ponder." Scientific studies have shown that behavioral components of meditation include relaxation, concentration, an altered state of awareness and a suspension of logical thought. These have been accompanied by a host of biochemical and physical changes in the body that alter metabolism, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and brain activation.

Meditation offers a method of stress and pain reduction. In coaching, meditation creates a deeper connection with one’s self, stimulates creativity, inspires solutions and brings about calmness and serenity to what may otherwise be a hectic life.
